Sun in Pisces (this current constellation, which is the Solar energy) is “the fish,” a water sign that is the final sign of the Zodiacal Year. The actual timing of the full moon puts it in the complementary opposite sign of Virgo, “the Virgin Mother,” which is an Earth Sign.
Pisces is a very spiritual and transcendent sign that focuses on mystical / intuitive awareness, and service / sacrifice. It is the last sign of the astrological year, where we are an “old soul” at this particular yearly energetic level. We sacrifice / release ourselves and our old way of being for the higher good… in service of the group consciousness (last full moon – Aquarius) and in service to our Higher Self as an individual.
Virgo is very grounded in reality / manifesting sign, focusing on the “mother” within us that gives birth to the new divine made manifest within the world. This is a sign about conceiving of and manifesting your inner divinity in a very real and tangible way.
Pisces is a mutable water sign, so that means that it will impact emotions. Virgo is an earth sign, so it will impact physical body, manifestation and healing.
Both signs are feminine in nature and very related in their goals of bringing about a new way of being in the world. This releasing / manifesting dynamic helps us to prepare for the new higher consciousness and way of being, brought in by the coming Equinox and Aries / Resurrection Full Moon that is the start of the new astrological year.
Energies that are this strong often cause older forms of being to unravel and breakdowns often precede breakthroughs! This is reflected in the larger Zodiacal dynamic of Pisces dying to the old way of being to make room for the rebirth at a new level of Aries. So this can be a very fruitful time of growth, if it is approached with a mindful attitude.
